Denver, CO (April 21, 2020) – Distinguished hemp leaders and government officials are commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day this Wednesday, April 22, 2020, with live discussions on the first day of the NoCo Hemp Expo EARTH WEEK Virtual Conference and Trade Show. Following the first day, attendees can virtually stream a full line-up of pre-recorded content from industry experts, which will be available to view online through Friday, April 24, 2020.

Let’s Talk Hemp and the 422 Podcast hosts Morris Beegle and Rick Trojan will provide keynote remarks and will together serve as virtual emcees throughout the live broadcast on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm (MDT). The live conference features four distinct sessions highlighting sustainability, regulatory policies, health and wellness, and the future of hemp farming:

Session 1, 11:00 am – Noon: Hemp, EARTH WEEK and Planetary Health

The first session will focus on ways that hemp promotes sustainability in manufacturing, packaging, building construction, bio-plastics, textiles, and more to help regenerate the planet and mitigate climate change. Panelists:

Join hosts Morris Beegle and Rick Trojan for a one-on-one conversation with panelist Jonathan Miller. Miller has emerged as one of the nation’s foremost hemp attorneys and leads the Lexington, KY-based Frost Brown Todd law firm’s hemp practice.

In this session, learn more about the current state of the industry, specifically relating to business and regulatory affairs during the coronavirus crisis. Additionally, Miller will share the latest update on state legislation and will provide an in-depth perspective on the future of hemp.  Session 2, 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm: The Business and Regulatory Environment

In this session, panelists answer questions regarding the 2020 growing season and how the pandemic will affect hemp farmers, producers, and the supply chain. Find out how state laws are aligning with the USDA and the progress being made in genetics, technology, and innovation. Panelists:
