DENVER, CO (August 19, 2021) – Southern Hemp Expo highlights new sponsors for the Let’s Talk Hemp programming during the 3-day trade show at the Raleigh Convention Center.
The Southern Hemp Expo is proudly sponsored by CannaAid, a North Carolina-based wholesale purveyor of high-quality CBD and other hemp-derived products.
Regenerative Earth-level sponsors include EarthX and Benchmark CBD.
- EarthX: A Dallas-based non-profit, global event and media company focusing on environmental change and sustainability.
- Benchmark CBD: A Monroe, NC-based, all-natural full-spectrum hemp extraction company producing products for the cannabis and culinary industry.
Event organizers are grateful for the participation from sponsors who commit to high-level education and quality products at the expo.
“We are honored by the support of our sponsors. Through their partnerships, our team can continue to offer our attendees the high-quality programming for which we are known for throughout the industrial hemp community,” said Elizzy Knight, VP of Southern Hemp Expo.
Re-thinking Hemp’s Role
This year’s theme, ReTHINK Hemp, encourages hemp growers, processors, manufacturers, and buyers to consider the role hemp can play in making U.S. agriculture more friendly to the planet, while keeping American food, fuel and fiber sources healthy.
Hemp represents a fresh start for U.S. agriculture and a pathway toward healing for the planet, organizers of the Southern Hemp Expo believe.
“Regenerative agriculture is central to our message as the hemp industry matures,” said Morris Beegle, founder of We Are For Better Alternatives (WAFBA) and the organizer of the Southern Hemp Expo.
This year’s expansive programming will include educational panels and presentations on veteran’s health, food production for humans and animals, ag economics, testing and labeling solutions, options for hemp-based plastics and construction materials, and much more.
For a full list of programming and schedules, visit our schedule HERE.
“A new agricultural commodity such as hemp is one of the last opportunities we have to flip the paradigm from conventional to regenerative farming,” Beegle said. “We need to disrupt the continuing system of monoculture crops like corn, soy, wheat and cotton and help rebuild our soil health,” he added.
Most Complete Hemp Supply Chain Trade Show
The most complete hemp trade show on the East Coast includes a powerhouse line-up of industry leaders on three stages to discuss hemp agriculture, business and investing, technology and innovation, wellness, textiles, fiber, CBD supplements, composites and building materials — the whole supply chain of opportunity in hemp. The conference will also provide legal and compliance updates from the FDA and USDA, investment and entrepreneurial opportunities as well as hemp foods and spirits.
Professional sports figures will discuss cannabis and performance with women’s soccer champion Rachael Rapinoe and NFL Super Bowl champion Matt Wilhelm.
Be sure to stay for the networking happy hour on Friday from 5-7 pm after the Expo Hall closes for everyone in attendance on Friday. The happy hour will be hosted on the third floor of the Raleigh Convention Center and features live music, appetizers and spirits.
