Fiber and Grain ‘Hemp Exemption’ Movement Calls for Regulatory Relief

Cutting red tape and unnecessary THC testing for industrial hemp grown for grain and fiber is the goal of a group of hemp advocates who are trying to break down obstacles slowing down purely industrial uses of the plant.
The so-called “hemp exemption” movement aims to create a regulatory pathway that separates industrial hemp from floral, or cannabinoid, uses of hemp.
Spearheading the movement are Erica Stark from National Hemp Association, Courtney Moran from Agricultural Hemp Solutions and Morgan Elliott Tweet from IND HEMP.
Southern Hemp Expo Announces Keynote Speakers
Southern Hemp Expo (SHE4) – the leading hemp industry supply-chain trade show and conference in the southeast United States – announced an early lineup of top industry speakers, including Australian hemp trailblazer Paul Benhaim as a keynote speaker.
An author and pioneer in hemp protein and wellness since the mid 1990’s, Benhaim’s Hemp Foods Australia has sold millions of high-protein hemp superfood snack bars with the perfect blend of naturally occurring omega 6 and 3 oils. Historic Convening For Regenerative Cannabis Live Event at United Nations Delegates Dining Room
The inaugural in-person Regenerative Cannabis Live event, held at the United Nations Delegates Dining Room on May 5, featured a capacity crowd and more than 1,000 livestream viewers from across the world.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the multi-stakeholder event united global leaders and explored the Economic, Social & Environmental impacts facing the industry now and in the future. Tailored around authentic, action-oriented discussion, Regenerative Cannabis Live was the first in a series of planned events designed to bring together government, nonprofit, and corporate decision-makers.
